Hello! We are Edward (Dutch) and Lizbeth (Mexican), we have 2 boys aged 19 months and 4 months old. We love staying active, exploring new adventures, having a good sense of humor and spending quality time together. Whether it’s cooking delicious meals in the kitchen, playing games that fill our home with laughter, or enjoying outdoor activities that keep us fit and healthy, we make the most out of every day. Cooking is a shared passion in our family, me coming from Mexico and my husband from The Netherlands, we love experimenting with new recipes and flavors.
We have always been very fond of Japan and it’s culture. A few years ago we visited for our honeymoon and we fell in love even more, with the food, it’s people and history. We can’t wait to go back!
We are looking for a Japanese au pair or nanny (preferably a woman between 21-24 years old), as we think that it would be an enriching cultural exchange for her and also for us. Living in the Netherlands we believe that we have so many interesting things and places to show her, not only in our country but in all of Europe! Also, we would like to teach our young kids some of the main values that Japanese culture is based on such as: respect, honesty and kindness. These are values that we also share in our family, so we think that a Japanese girl would be a great fit and that she would feel at home with us.
We think that living in Amsterdam will offer our au pair or nanny a great opportunity to experience the beauty of this multicultural city, plus the advantage of learning English. Even though Dutch is the official language in The Netherlands, the country is often ranked as the number one non-native English-speaking country in the world! Therefore, we are really looking forward to welcoming an au pair who would like to improve or practice English :)
If you share the same interests and think that you could be a good fit in our family, we would love to meet you!
Also, if you know someone that may be interested I would really appreciate if you could share this message or let me know!
Warm regards,
Liz & Ed
